STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- He was 18 years old and drunk, cops say, and he had just crashed his car on the Goethals Bridge.
So Michael Crispino hatched a plan -- he got out of the car, and started walking away, according to cops.
It wasn't a very good plan.
The Port Richmond man was spied almost immediately as he strode from the car, a 1995 Mazda, early Sunday morning.
Port Authority police swooped in and found the 18-year-old wobbling on his feet, with the smell of booze on his breath,
court papers allege.
And his blood alcohol level measured at .102 percent -- over the .08 percent legal limit.
Cops charged Crispino, of Rainbow Avenue, with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an
accident.
